25 Ghanaians, said to be illegally living in Germany will be deported today, November 30, 2021, the German Embassy in Accra has said.

“With an international Charter flight, twenty-five (25) Ghanaian nationals, currently living illegally in Germany, will be repatriated to Ghana, arriving on November 30, 2021,” the Embassy said in a note verbale to Ghana’s Foreign Ministry.

“They will be accompanied by members of the German Federal Police and a medical doctor who will not leave the aircraft,” the statement added.

The Embassy says the Ghanaian citizens will be tested for Covid-19 and those without symptoms will be repatriated to Ghana.

“Concerning the risk of Corona infection, Germany will take care that all returnees and accompanying guards will be tested by a doctor before flying, whether there are any symptoms of a possible infection.
