The funeral activities will take place at the Accra Ridge Church.
The funeral of Mrs. Philomena Margaret Asante, wife of renowned Ghanaian legal scholar, international public servant and Paramount Chief of Asokore Asante, Nana Dr. S.K.B. Asante, has been scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026.
The funeral activities will take place at the Accra Ridge Church.
The arrangements will begin with a pre-burial service and filing past from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by the main funeral service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A reception will be held at the same venue from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., after which a private burial will take place.
The family has announced that there will be no wake-keeping, while mourners attending Friday's funeral activities are expected to dress in black and white.
A thanksgiving service will be held at the Accra Ridge Church on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with attendees requested to wear all-white attire.
The husband of the deceased, Nana Dr. S.K.B. Asante, is a distinguished legal practitioner and statesman whose career spans decades of service in legal academia, domestic and international public service, and traditional leadership.
The family thus invites relatives, friends and well-wishers to join them in celebrating her life and paying their final respects.
