In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Edmund Amarkwei Foley, the Commission said the move reflects a broader push to improve justice delivery through practical and sustainable innovations.

The Legal Aid Commission of Ghana says it is preparing to roll out a 24-hour call centre as part of efforts to widen access to justice services across the country.

A major focus of the initiative will be to make Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) more accessible, particularly for people who may struggle to access legal support through conventional channels.

In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Edmund Amarkwei Foley, the Commission said the move reflects a broader push to improve justice delivery through practical and sustainable innovations.

According to the statement, the proposed call centre is expected to help extend legal aid services to a larger number of Ghanaians, especially the poor and vulnerable, who often face barriers in obtaining legal assistance.

The Commission also signalled its willingness to work closely with the office of Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie to strengthen the reach and effectiveness of ADR systems nationwide.

At the same time, it renewed its appeal for greater government support, saying the institution continues to operate under serious financial, infrastructural and staffing constraints despite the critical nature of its work.

The Commission urged the public to make use of the free legal services available at its regional and district offices across the country.
