The new book by His Lordship, Justice Osei Tutu is a manual for judges, legal practitioners, academics, and law students. One cannot afford not to have it because it navigates the rules of procedure, issues, jurisdiction, capacity, legal technicalities, and types of order among others.
The 21-chapter book by the renowned academic and judge revisits procedure by giving its readers a deep glimpse of how to do it right, taking a peek through the changing face of our laws, giving an insight into the blue law, the Norwich Pharmacal order as well as the power of the Chief Justice to suspend a superior court judge.
A reader is thus sure to be armed with these very powerful tools in scaling through the evolving issues in civil procedure and litigation in the contemporary juridical era since one would be opened up to the challenging perspectives to evolve into the very topical areas in Ghana’s civil procedure regime.

Chapter one opens with the learned author taking readers through his in-depth analysis of ‘REVISITING PROCEDURE: DOING IT RIGHT!” and closes with the author’s emphases on the usefulness of the provision to lawyers in handling cases and to the bench, especially the trial courts and Rules of Courts Committee in their operations and processes.
In the last chapter, which ends on ‘CIRCUMSCRIBING THE SCOPE OF ARTICLE 146 OF THE 1992 CONSTITUTION’, the learned author stresses;
‘It must be emphasized that the power of the Apex Court to interpret the Constitution does not extend to rewriting it.” He therefore closes the chapter by calling on the Apex court to seize the opportunity in the coming days to clarify the point once and for all.
