Mr Emmanuel Hanson, a senior housemaster at Achimota Senior High School, says the accusations have damaged his reputation and that he is now exploring legal steps against the former student and her mother.

An Achimota School housemaster is considering legal action after a police forensic examination reportedly found no evidence to support allegations that he demanded sexual favours from a former student.

Mr Emmanuel Hanson, a senior housemaster at Achimota Senior High School, says the accusations have damaged his reputation and that he is now exploring legal steps against the former student and her mother.

His lawyer, Emmanuel Dei-Tumi Jr of Kulendi@Law, said his client is considering all available legal options and expects the police to investigate how the alleged screenshots were created and circulated.

The matter began with a disciplinary issue at the school in November 2025, when Mr Hanson confiscated a mobile phone from Musah Hafsatu Osmanu, then a student, in line with school rules on possession of such devices.

According to Mr Hanson’s account, the issue resurfaced after the student had completed her WASSCE examinations and left campus.

He said she contacted him on 28 December 2025 to request the return of the phone. After he informed her that the device had already been handed over to the appropriate school authorities, the exchange reportedly became tense.

He further said he later received a call from a woman said to be the student’s mother, Madam Daayimatu Abdallah, followed by an audio message he considered threatening.

Mr Hanson then reported the matter to the Achimota Police Station.

It was during the police enquiry, according to the account, that the former student and her mother alleged for the first time that he had asked for sexual favours through WhatsApp as a condition for returning the confiscated phone.

Police were presented with printed screenshots said to contain the alleged messages. Those images were later circulated on social media and on Achimota School-related online platforms, together with claims that Mr Hanson had been arrested and disgraced.

In response, Mr Hanson asked the Cybercrime Unit of the CID to verify the authenticity of the alleged exchanges and voluntarily handed over his phone for forensic analysis.

A police report dated 11 March 2026, he says, found no WhatsApp conversation between him and the MTN number attributed to the former student.

According to the report, the forensic examination did not establish any such communication, a finding that directly challenges the authenticity of the screenshots that formed the basis of the accusation.
