The accused, who describes himself as a prophet, is standing trial on a charge of publishing false news.
The criminal case against Evans Eshun, widely known as Ebo Noah, has been put off to 10 June 2026 after prosecutors told the Adenta Circuit Court they needed more time to complete their disclosures.
The accused, who describes himself as a prophet, is standing trial on a charge of publishing false news.
He has pleaded not guilty to allegations linked to videos in which he reportedly claimed that a devastating flood would destroy the world on 25 December 2025.
When the matter was called on Wednesday, 18 March, Ebo Noah was present in court with members of his family.
He remains on GH¢100,000 bail, with two sureties, one of whom must be justified. He is also required to report to the police every week under the existing bail conditions.
According to the prosecution, the accused shared several videos on Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, warning of a coming global flood and saying he was building an ark to rescue people.
Police say investigations later showed those claims were untrue.
Prosecutors told the court that during interrogation, Ebo Noah admitted the supposed ark was not his property but belonged to fishermen at a boatyard in Edina in the Central Region.
They also said he confessed that the videos had been made to draw public attention and increase his online following.
The prosecution added that he was arrested on 31 December 2025 at Weija-Gbawe in an intelligence-led operation.
The Ghana Police Service is the complainant in the case.
The adjournment was granted to allow the prosecution to finalise its disclosures before the matter proceeds.
