The matter dates back to May 2025, when Empress Gifty filed a defamation suit seeking GH¢20 million, accusing Agradaa of making what she described as slanderous and libellous remarks about her.
A Tema High Court has ordered evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to pay GH¢100,000 in damages to gospel musician Empress Gifty Adorye after the pair reached an out-of-court settlement in a defamation case.
The matter dates back to May 2025, when Empress Gifty filed a defamation suit seeking GH¢20 million, accusing Agradaa of making what she described as slanderous and libellous remarks about her.
The order was made by the Tema High Court “A”, presided over by Justice Janet Marfo, after both sides told the court they had agreed to resolve the dispute without a full trial.
As part of the settlement terms, the court also directed Nana Agradaa to publicly withdraw the allegations and issue a formal apology to Empress Gifty.
The ruling effectively brings the legal dispute between the two public figures to a close.
