The High Court in Accra has ordered the National Security to investigate the origins of unsanctioned audio recordings from its Thursday, June 13, 2024, proceedings.

This followed a statement by Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah to the court about the audio recordings circulating on social media.

Subsequently, the presiding judge, Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe, summoned the parties to a discussion in chambers.

After the meeting, the first accused, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, and the third accused, Richard Jakpa, were also invited for a discussion to that effect.

Justice Asare-Botwe then instructed National Security to investigate the source of the unauthorized recordings, warning that future proceedings would be held on camera if such a practice continued.

Today, the third accused person was cross-examined by the prosecution led by the Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Yvonne Attakora Obuobisa.

Also in court were Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame and his deputies, Ms. Diana Asonaba Dapaah and Alfred Tuah-Yeboah.

Lawyers for the accused persons, Dr. Abdul Basit Aziz Bamba and Thaddeus Sory, were also present.
