The accusations were initially brought forward by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, in January 2023.

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has cleared Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng of allegations regarding the possession of two passports under different names.

The accusations were initially brought forward by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, in January 2023. Ablakwa petitioned CHRAJ to investigate Reverend Kusi Boateng, who serves as the Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees. The petition alleged a conflict of interest, multiple identities, and other purported criminal activities.

In its findings, CHRAJ reported that Reverend Kusi Boateng possesses only one passport under the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi. The Commission found no evidence to support claims that he had been issued a passport under the name Kusi-Boateng.

The petition also raised concerns about a transfer of GH¢2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a company allegedly linked to Reverend Kusi Boateng through his alternate identity. CHRAJ concluded that while no services were rendered by JNS Talent Centre Limited, the transfer of funds was not for personal gain. Instead, Reverend Kusi Boateng had used his own funds to pay contractors of the National Cathedral during a period of financial difficulty for the project. The transferred amount was a reimbursement for those payments.
