An Asokwa Circuit Court has remanded Patricia Osei Boateng, also known as Boatema, into police custody as investigations continue into the alleged Duku syndicate robbery at Ohwim Tigo Junction.
The court order was made on 16 March, after prosecutors opposed an application for bail.
Boateng is facing a charge of abetment of crime, to wit robbery, and is expected to return to court on 24 March.
During the hearing, her lawyer, Richard Acquah, asked the court to admit her to bail, but the prosecution resisted the request. Presiding judge Fred Obikyere declined to take her plea and ordered that she remain in custody while investigations continue.
Her arrest forms part of a broader police operation targeting what investigators believe is a larger criminal network.
Police had earlier brought Kojo Amposah and Emmanuel Kwame Appiah before the same court on 11 March. Both were charged with robbery and are due back in court on 26 March.
A third suspect, Bashiru Tanko, also remains in custody and is assisting investigators in connection with a number of alleged offences, including car snatching and robbery.
According to police, enquiries so far suggest that the group may be part of a wider syndicate, and efforts are continuing to identify other accomplices and trace stolen property.
The case is linked to a violent attack at Ohwim Amanfrom on 10 February 2026, during which Andrews Amankwaa was shot dead and his Toyota Hilux was taken.
Police say progress made so far represents a major breakthrough in efforts to dismantle the network and bring those involved to justice.
