The Salaga Magistrate Court has set February 21 as the date for its ruling in a case involving three students from Salaga Senior High School, located in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
The individuals charged in the case are Nuru Ibrahim, also known as Ibi, Hardi Hamza, referred to as Mad Lion, and Abubakari Zaidu, known by the alias Macharjia. All three, aged 19, are facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, issuing threats of death, and causing harm. They have pleaded guilty to all charges, with their pleas officially recorded by the court.
The incident took place on February 8 during a school entertainment program, where a dispute arose between two groups of day students from Kpembe and Salaga. The altercation escalated when one student initially left the scene but later returned with reinforcements, leading to gunfire and injuries.
Following investigations, the accused were apprehended on Monday and brought before the Salaga Magistrate Court. Presiding over the case, His Lordship Edward Essel granted them bail, along with the school’s headmaster, and scheduled the final judgment for February 21.
