In a statement on Monday, the university disclosed that 14 students have been suspended for two academic years after a thorough review by the Disciplinary Committee.
The University of Ghana has issued strong disciplinary measures against more than 100 students involved in misconduct, reinforcing its zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline and academic dishonesty.
In a statement released on Monday, the university announced that 14 students have been suspended for two academic years following a thorough review by the Disciplinary Committee. These students were found guilty of breaching the university’s code of conduct through various disruptive actions.
The suspension means they are barred from all academic programs and campus activities for the duration of their penalty.
In addition to the suspensions, 97 students faced sanctions over confirmed cases of examination malpractice. Following formal hearings, the university ruled that these individuals violated examination regulations, resulting in punitive action.
Meanwhile, two other students were issued official warnings for inappropriate behavior, though they were not removed from academic activities.
Reaffirming its stance, the university reiterated its ongoing commitment to upholding academic standards and cultivating a responsible campus environment.
