The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has committed to collaborating with Compassion International Ghana to promote the rights of children and enhance access to justice for young people nationwide.
This was announced at the 20th anniversary celebration of Compassion International Ghana, a Christian non-governmental organization focused on improving the lives of children and youth in impoverished communities.
Speaking at the event held on Thursday, July 24, the GBA President, Efua Ghartey, emphasized that the Association's Committee for Women and Minority Rights is already playing a key role in the effort.
“The Ghana Bar Association stands ready to walk alongside Compassion International Ghana to advocate for child rights and ensure access to justice for every child across Ghana. Our committee for Human and Minority Rights is leading the charge."
She further stated that the GBA would further support the organization by providing training in corporate governance for its board and committee members.
“We intend to go beyond that and also help to strengthen and grow your corporate structures with corporate governance training for board members and committee members."
