This milestone marks a significant achievement and is largely attributed to the relentless efforts of the Opoku-Ware-led SRC administration.

Students of the Ghana School of Law can now heave a sigh of relief following the approval by the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, for the school’s inclusion in the Students Loan Trust Fund Plus (SLTF+).

This milestone marks a significant achievement and is largely attributed to the relentless efforts of the Nana Opoku-Ware-led SRC administration.

For many years, professional law students have grappled with the harsh reality of securing exorbitant tuition and examination fees within tight deadlines—often at great personal, financial, and emotional cost. Some promising students have even been compelled to decline admission due to the overwhelming financial burden.

The SRC Scholarship Scheme emerged as a beacon of hope, offering some level of support to brilliant but financially challenged students. However, while commendable, the initiative has been limited in scope and unable to fully address the widespread need.

With this new inclusion in the SLTF+, Ghana School of Law students will now have access to a more structured, sustainable, and student-friendly financial support system. This development is expected to:

Ease tuition and cost-of-living pressures
Complement the existing SRC Scholarship Initiative
Reduce financial stress and promote mental well-being
Enable students to remain focused on academic and professional excellence
