The alleged dynamite detonation case involving a leading member of the Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye, has been adjourned to July 31, 2024.

This is due to the transfer of the case duplicate docket to the Attorney General’s Office for advice.

This was disclosed to the Dansoman Circuit court by the Prosecution Chief Inspector Christopher Wonder.

As a result, the presiding judge, Her Honour Halima Abdul El-Lawal Basit adjourned to July 31, 2024, for further updates.

Mr. Adorye was arrested on Wednesday, May 22, after making a statement on an Accra-based station to the effect that he was involved in the detonation of some dynamite in parts of the Volta Region prior to the 2016 General Elections.

He was subsequently charged with the publication of false news.
