A welfare-led campaign has carried Isaac Nlason to victory in the Ghana School of Law SRC presidential election.

Mr Nlason polled 1,171 votes, representing 44.97% of valid votes cast, to win the five-way contest.

His message throughout the campaign centred on student welfare, academic support and stronger engagement between the SRC and the student body.

He promised to lead an SRC that is more accessible, transparent and responsive to the everyday concerns of students across the school’s campuses.

The newly elected SRC President also campaigned on improving the overall student experience, with emphasis on inclusion, excellence and practical support systems for students.

Mr Nlason’s victory adds to a growing record of student leadership at both national and continental levels.

He has worked with the Federation of African Law Students, FALAS, where he has promoted cooperation among law students across Africa.

He currently serves as Secretary of the Electoral Commission of FALAS, contributing to student governance and institutional processes within the organisation.

Before his election at the Ghana School of Law, he had also served in leadership roles at the University of Ghana School of Law, the National Union of Ghana Students and the University of Health and Allied Sciences.

His election now places him at the head of student leadership at the Ghana School of Law, after years of involvement in legal education advocacy and student governance.
