The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has called off its strike action, which was to take place today, October 28, 2021.

The industrial action was to back demands for the review of salaries and allowances for its members.

Mr Alex Nartey, President of JUSAG, said after serving notices of the association’s strike a few weeks ago, the Office of the President wrote to the Judicial Council calling a meeting between the two parties on the issue.

The meeting, he said was held on October 26, and that another meeting had been scheduled for today, October 28.

He made this known at a press conference at the Law Court Complex in Accra.

He however added that if the concerns are not addressed today, JUSAG would have no option than to embark on total withdrawal of services on November 1, this year.

On October 18 2021, JUSAG served notice on a strike action intended for today after it gave government a two-week ultimatum to review salaries and allowances of its members.
