Justice Yonny Kulendi, a distinguished Supreme Court Judge in Ghana, has urged graduates of Accra Business School to prioritize integrity in their leadership, emphasizing the impact of their actions, decisions, and sacrifices as a source of inspiration for others.
Delivering the keynote address at the school’s 17th congregation, Justice Kulendi underscored the critical role of leadership grounded in accountability, conviction, and ethical principles in fostering a future rooted in trust and integrity.
Drawing on his personal journey, Justice Kulendi highlighted the core values that have shaped his professional life. He pointed out that true leadership goes beyond holding positions of authority; it lies in the ability to influence others positively.
"Leadership means being a beacon of light in dark places, inspiring people through our actions, choices, and sacrifices," he remarked.
Justice Kulendi emphasized that integrity is a cornerstone of effective leadership. It requires transparency, courage, and the willingness to prioritize what is right over personal convenience or popularity. He warned that leadership devoid of integrity undermines trust and damages the very foundation of confidence within society.
In his message to the graduates, Justice Kulendi called on them to embrace leadership marked by conviction, accountability, and ethical standards. He encouraged them to carry forward the values of excellence, resilience, and integrity that they had acquired during their time at Accra Business School.
Professor Elvis Cornerstone, President of Accra Business School, outlined the institution’s commitment to academic advancement, announcing plans to introduce MA and PhD programs, alongside investments in state-of-the-art databases and software systems to enhance learning.
He described an Accra Business School degree as a mark of quality and achievement that graduates and their future employers could confidently rely on.
Professor Cornerstone expressed appreciation for the families, friends, and benefactors who supported the graduates throughout their educational journey. He encouraged the graduates to uphold the principles of integrity, excellence, and resilience as they step into the next phase of their lives.
Founded in 2004, Accra Business School has consistently championed ethical leadership and integrity in business. With affiliations to esteemed institutions such as Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, as well as Wrexham and SETU Universities in the UK, the school has established itself as a leader in producing principled and visionary graduates.
