Lil Win was arrested on Monday, June 3, shortly after being discharged from the hospital.

Movie actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has been granted bail of GHC 50,000 with two sureties by the Asokore Mampong District Court.

Lil Win was arrested on Monday, June 3, shortly after being discharged from the hospital.

He has been charged with dangerous driving and negligently causing harm.

His initial arrest is linked to a recent accident involving a vehicle he was driving, which resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.

The actor is said to have been driving at high speed on May 25, leading to the crash into the vehicle that had the three-year-old and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah.

Appearing in court on Monday, the prosecution said they were still investigating the matter and implored the accused to avail himself when needed.

The prosecution also cited the actor's health condition as the cause of the delay of the case.

On her part, counsel for the actor, Margaret Adjei-Twum, made a plea for bail, indicating that her client suffered injuries resulting in internal bleeding.

The court thus granted the accused bail with two sureties.

The case has, meanwhile, been adjourned to June 27.
