Parliament has approved the first batch of ministerial nominees presented by President John Mahama after a comprehensive review by the Appointments Committee.

Following a rigorous vetting process, the committee unanimously endorsed Dr. Dominic Ayine, MP for Bolgatanga East; Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam and Majority Leader; and John Jinapor, MP for Yapei-Kusawgu.

During a parliamentary session on Tuesday, January 21, presided over by Second Deputy Speaker Andrew Asiamah Amoako, members deliberated on the approval motion.

After extensive discussions, both majority and minority members recognized the nominees' qualifications and leadership experience, highlighting their track records as evidence of their capability to lead their respective ministries efficiently.

Ultimately, the Second Deputy Speaker confirmed their appointments, with Dr. Dominic Ayine taking on the role of Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson designated as Minister of Finance, and John Jinapor appointed as Minister of Energy.
