In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP formally identified Adom-Otchere as a suspect in its ongoing probe into alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses linked to the contract between GACL and an unnamed private firm.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has invited prominent journalist and former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, for questioning in connection with a corruption investigation involving a revenue assurance audit contract.

In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP formally identified Adom-Otchere as a suspect in its ongoing probe into alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses linked to the contract between GACL and an unnamed private firm.

He has been asked to appear at the OSP’s South Ridge office on Thursday, July 31, 2025, to assist with investigations.

Speaking to Myjoyonline.com, Adom-Otchere confirmed receipt of the invitation and disclosed that his lawyers have requested a rescheduled appearance on Monday, August 4, due to prior court engagements in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

Expressing his surprise at being targeted in the investigation, Adom-Otchere questioned why the OSP’s focus was on him as a former board chairman, rather than on members of GACL’s management team and the managing director, who he said were directly involved in executing the contract.

The OSP has not yet commented publicly on the specifics of the investigation, but sources suggest it relates to suspected irregularities in the procurement and execution of the audit contract during Adom-Otchere’s tenure as board chair.
