The High Court in Ho has delivered justice in the murder case of former Sogakope Assembly Member, Mawutor Adzahli, convicting seven individuals for their roles in his tragic death during a violent robbery.
Presiding over the case on May 22, Justice John Ekow Mensah handed down life imprisonment to Richard Adikyere, who was found guilty of both robbery and murder. Two others — Stephen Adzibolo and Emmanuel Hedzro — were also convicted on the same charges and sentenced to 47 years each behind bars.
Four additional accused — Samuel Kofi Zotorvi, Christian Zotorvi, Michael Sam, and Obed Ayornu — chose to plead guilty midway through the trial. Samuel and Christian Zotorvi each received 15-year prison terms, while Michael Sam and Obed Ayornu were sentenced to 20 years each.
A statement from the Volta Regional Police Command, signed by DSP Felix Danku, confirmed that all seven convicts are now serving their respective sentences at the Ho Central Prisons.
