The confirmation came during her continued cross-examination on Monday, May 25, 2026, by defence counsel Samuel Atta-Akyea.

A former Fidelity Bank Relationship Officer has confirmed before the Accra High Court that some transactions captured in prosecution exhibits appeared in the bank statement of former National Signals Bureau Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene.

The confirmation came during her continued cross-examination on Monday, May 25, 2026, by defence counsel Samuel Atta-Akyea.

Mr Adu-Boahene is standing trial with other accused persons in a case involving alleged financial offences linked to the National Signals Bureau.

The witness had earlier identified account opening documents, bank statements and transaction records connected to the accused persons and some companies.

During cross-examination, Mr Atta-Akyea directed her attention to Exhibit 15, which contained transaction records.

He asked her about a July 9, 2018 transaction involving an outward transfer of GH¢1.7 million in favour of Mr Adu-Boahene.

Asked whether the transfer was in favour of the first accused person, she said the document described it as such.

The witness was also referred to another transaction dated December 3, 2018, involving GH¢402,000.

The defence then suggested that the transactions in Exhibit 15 were also reflected in Exhibit 7, which is Mr Adu-Boahene’s bank statement already before the court.

The prosecution, led by Deputy Attorney-General Dr Justice Srem-Sai, objected to the line of questioning.

Dr Srem-Sai argued that the documents had already been admitted into evidence and that the witness was being asked to interpret them.

But the court, presided over by Justice Francis Apangabuno Achibonga, overruled the objection.

The judge held that the defence was entitled to test the witness’s credibility on her reading of the documents.

He said any issue about omissions or additions in the witness’s reading of the entries would be determined by the court at the appropriate stage.

After the ruling, the witness confirmed that page 82 of Exhibit 7 reflected a GH¢1.7 million credit transaction dated July 9, 2018.

She also confirmed that page 107 showed another credit transaction of GH¢402,000.

The witness further told the court that the same pages of Exhibit 7 reflected outward transfers to Fidelity Bank in favour of the Director of the Bureau of National Communications.

She said page 82 showed an outward transfer of GH¢1.65 million.

The case was adjourned for cross-examination to continue.
