Asiedu is expected to resume his evidence in chief by then before Justice Lydia Osei-Maafo at the High Court.
The trial of Daniel Asiedu, the man accused of murdering former Abuakwa South MP Joseph Boakye (J.B) Danquah-Adu, has been postponed to June 10 due to an ongoing juror strike.
Asiedu is expected to resume his evidence in chief by then before Justice Lydia Osei-Maafo at the High Court.
The prosecution has already called eight witnesses to testify against Asiedu, who is being tried for both robbery and murder.
Vincent Bosoo, who was charged with conspiracy to commit the crime, was acquitted and released on March 20, 2024.
The late MP for Abuakwa North was killed at his Shiashie residence, a suburb of Accra, on February 8, 2016.
In May 2017, Asiedu and Bosoo were initially discharged, only to be re-arrested and faced with new charges.
On February 6, 2019, both men were again committed to stand trial for the alleged murder of Mr. Danquah-Adu.
Asiedu, also known as “Sexy Dondon,” was charged with both conspiracy to commit robbery and murder, while Bosoo is facing charges of conspiracy to commit robbery.
