Samuel Amoah, popularly known as Biggie, the man accused of killing a woman and her two children at Kasoa last year, has made his first appearance before the Adabraka District Court.

The case, however, was adjourned to Thursday, September 25, 2025, as the court did not sit. Outside the courtroom, police officers struggled to control the crowd while relatives of the deceased hurled insults at the accused.

Relatives of the victim, Alberta Hagan, dismissed reports suggesting she was romantically linked to Amoah. They insisted that she was married and that Amoah merely ran errands for her.

The Charges

Amoah has been charged with three counts of murder after his arrest on September 17, 2025, at Suhum in the Eastern Region. Police say he is responsible for the brutal killings of Alberta Hagan and two of her children on May 19, 2024, at Tuba Net-Link Estates, a suburb of Kasoa.

When police arrived at the crime scene, they found Alberta (39) and three children—aged 18, 10, and eight—lying in a pool of blood. The youngest child, who survived with deep cuts to the head, was rushed to the hospital, while the other bodies were taken to the Police Hospital morgue.

During interrogation, Amoah reportedly admitted to the killings but claimed he “did not know what came over him.” Investigations into the case are still ongoing.
