The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), working with National Security operatives, has arrested 32 Nigerian nationals in an early-morning operation at Kasoa–Tuba as part of a stepped-up crackdown on cybercrime.
The coordinated swoop, carried out at a targeted location in the area, led to the seizure of 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones, which security officials believe were being used to facilitate various cyber-related offences.
All 32 suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators. The confiscated devices have been handed over for forensic analysis, which the CSA says will feed into ongoing investigations and help build stronger evidential trails against suspected cybercrime networks.
In a brief statement, the Authority framed the raid as one component of a broader, sustained enforcement drive aimed at disrupting organised cybercriminal activity and safeguarding Ghana’s fast-growing digital ecosystem.
The CSA reiterated its readiness to continue partnering with National Security and other law enforcement bodies to combat cyber-enabled crime across the country.
It also appealed to the public to remain alert and to report suspicious online behaviour or cyber-related scams through official reporting channels, stressing that citizen cooperation is essential to strengthening national cyber resilience.
