A 26-year-old seamstress, Mabel Asantewaa, has died after allegedly being stabbed numerous times by her boyfriend during a visit.

The event occurred at Kalabule Chinese, near the Kasoa Tollbooth in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Police information reveals that the suspect turned violent following a brief dispute when he allegedly demanded intimacy, but the deceased declined, citing menstruation. He then stabbed her repeatedly, causing her death.
After committing the act, the suspect allegedly swallowed a toxic substance in an attempt to end his life. He is presently undergoing treatment under police surveillance at the Amanfrom Polyclinic.
