The High Court in Accra has set aside six sitting days in February to run a Case Management Conference (CMC) in the criminal case involving former National Petroleum Authority (NPA) boss Dr Mustapha Hamid and nine other accused persons.
The group is facing prosecution over alleged extortion of oil marketing companies during Dr Hamid’s tenure at the authority.
Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, who is presiding, said the court will treat the selected dates as CMC-only sessions, with proceedings starting promptly at 8:15am on each day to accelerate readiness for trial.
The court has fixed: 2, 9, 12, 17, 19 and 23 February 2026 for the conference, which is used to map out issues such as disclosures, witness management and trial scheduling.
The matter has been adjourned to 2 February, when the CMC is expected to formally begin.
The judge also directed that, for February, the accused persons are to report once to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), consistent with their revised bail reporting terms.
