A 32-year-old filmmaker, Israel Agbo Forson, has been remanded into custody by the Dansoman Circuit Court after allegedly posting a video in which he threatened to kill any police officer he encountered.
Forson has pleaded not guilty to a charge of making death threats.
According to the prosecution, the incident began on June 18, 2025, when a National Police Patrol Team stopped an Uber near Wisconsin University. Forson, a passenger in the vehicle, reportedly objected when officers asked to search his luggage, insisting they wear gloves before proceeding. A heated exchange followed, during which Forson filmed the interaction.
To de-escalate the situation, both parties agreed to move to the Taifa Police Station, where the search was carried out under the supervision of the District Commander. Nothing incriminating was found, and Forson was granted police enquiry bail.
However, shortly after his release, he allegedly filmed a second video—this time threatening to kill any police officer who crossed his path—and shared it online. Police tracked the video to Forson, and he was arrested on June 23. A search of his home turned up no further evidence.
The court has adjourned the case, and Forson remains in custody awaiting the next hearing.
