Krokowhe Pacific filling station robbers nabbed

A man suspected to have been part of a team that attacked and robbed the Pacific Filling Station at Krokowhe near Ashalaja has been arrested by the police.

The robbers assaulted and tied the fuel attendants on the dawn of 5th June 2021. They then broke into the metallic safe of the filling station and stole an unspecified amount of money. They also made away with a laptop and some other items.

A police statement, however, indicates that some of these items including a heavy pointed metal bar have been retrieved.

As reported by the police, the “security interventions laid by the station owner, coupled with his bravery and support of neighbors” helped in the arrest of the suspect. Efforts are still underway to apprehend his accomplices.
