Man in viral video assaulting woman with baby arrested by police

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has taken into custody Nii Baah Afful, the individual captured in a widely circulated video physically assaulting a young woman who had a baby in her arms.

The disturbing footage, which quickly sparked outrage across social media, shows the man aggressively attacking the woman—prompting widespread demands for immediate intervention.

Human rights organizations and members of the public have since called on the police to ensure the perpetrator is held accountable.

In an official statement, the police confirmed the suspect’s arrest, noting that he is currently assisting with ongoing investigations.

Law enforcement authorities have also assured the public that he will be arraigned in court to face legal proceedings.
