Police in Tema have launched a major murder investigation following the grim discovery of a man's body within the Tema Harbour area. This incident has led to the arrest of two suspects.

The case unfolded on May 30, 2025, when law enforcement officers responded to a distress call reporting a dead body found at the harbor. While processing the scene, police received another alarming report—this time from members of the public who had apprehended a man allegedly carrying a human head.

Responding swiftly, officers intervened at the second scene to prevent mob justice. The suspect, identified as Ali Mustapha, was rescued from the crowd and immediately taken into police custody.

Further investigations led to the arrest of a second suspect, Zakaria Mohammed, deepening the mystery surrounding the case.

The deceased, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, has been conveyed to the Police Hospital mortuary for preservation. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Both suspects remain in custody as detectives from the Tema Regional Police Command work to unravel the circumstances behind the killing. Authorities have called on the public to volunteer any information that could support their efforts to identify the victim and secure justice.
